Duties and Responsibilities:
-
Working with Kaiser Clinical Pharmacist: Translating, follow-up calls, verifying/changing appointments EPIC, Insulin (vial/pen) & Glucometer teaching.

Assist the Clinical Pharmacist with scheduling, checking for tele-health visits templates and perform appointment reminders for patients managed by the clinical pharmacy department.

Assist in prior authorization submission workflow.
-
Participates in Patient-Centered Medical Home team meetings and quality improvement initiatives and projects.
- Obtain medical records for the patients from outside providers as needed.
- Assist the pharmacist managing adherence reports and follow up with non-compliant patients.

Assist the pharmacist in medication coverage, insurance formulary and resolving pharmacy related medication issues.
- Assist the pharmacist for refill clinic services.
- Manage specialty pharmacy patients according to the patients’ plan of care.

Processing prescriptions: Deciphering Rx, Typing, Billing, Filling and Dispensing.

Assisting Patients and Providers with non-formulary medications and Rejections: PAP (Patient Assistance Program), PA (Prior Authorizations), calling PBM for early overwrite, Vacation Overwrite and calling PBM to check on formulary

EMR management: verifying patient data EPIC (Demographics, medications, appointments, referral and encounters).

Initiate Patients Assistance Programs (PAPs) applications and documentation for appropriate medications.

Manage medication orders including receiving, logging, labeling, and stocking.

Answer and address incoming calls, inputting requests from the patient into the EHR system.
Position Requirements:

Pharmacy Technician License
-
Bilingual skills in another language such as Spanish, Korean, Russian or Armenian prefrerred.

Working knowledge of medical terminology.

Proof of full Covid vaccination required
