Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must have ecclesiastical endorsement from the official endorsing agency of the Chaplain’s faith or denomination.
Duties Description:
Conduct religious services and provide spiritual guidance for the residents of his/her faith admitted to a State facility.
Establish periods for worship, conduct religious services and administer rites and sacraments.
Counsel individuals on personal and spiritual problems; does pastoral calling on those of his/her own faith in order to develop good relationships with residents with particular attention to those newly admitted to the facility, residents going through an emotional crisis, the ill, and those about to be released.
Conduct a religious education program through planning and organizing instructional classes, group discussions, forums, broadcasts, and group music programs.
Work closely with psychologists, social workers, nurses, counselors, etc. in order to further the rehabilitation of residents.

Pay: $79,928.00 - $101,197.00 per year

Schedule:
