Job Summary:
Fort Bend Hearing (FBH) is currently looking for an experienced, highly motivated, responsible, and genuinely friendly medical office receptionist for our private audiology practice in Sugar Land. The ideal candidate will be a brand ambassador for FHB in all interactions with vendors, customers, patients, and their families. We need someone who is self-driven, welcoming, positive, and a good team player to support our mission of helping every patient to “Hear Better and Live Better.” The job requires strong customer service and exceptional patient engagement skills. FBH’s clients are typically older with varying degrees of hearing impairment, so patience, compassion, and a willingness to greet every person with a warm smile is imperative. The role is well suited for someone who is detailed oriented, has good computer skills, and has prior experience in a medical practice environment. Answer phone and screen calls, listen and respond to voice mail and customer requests on a timely basis
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and/or packages
- Capture and maintain accurate log of customer interactions in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Perform patient callbacks, schedule appointments, book follow up visits, and reschedule appointments
- when conflicts arise. Manage schedule and calendar using FBH’s patient management software
- Confirm appointments / Appointment reminder calls / Pull charts
- Champion smooth process for checking in/out patients – communication, process, and patient experience
- Maintain patient records in billing/scheduling system and in hard copy
- Deliver outstanding customer service - Warmly greet arriving and departing patients
- Support inventory management – office supplies, new hearing aids, hearing aid repairs, earmolds, etc.
- Support invoice creation, billing, and processing of customer payments
Skills/Requirements:
- Customer Service experience (required)
- High school diploma (required)
- Detail oriented with ability to multi-task (required)
- Experience in Word and Excel (required)
- Medical office experience (preferred)
- Some continuing education (OR) a strong desire for personal development (preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
