Job Purpose
Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly kitchen environment to ensure that assigned areas, dishes, utensils, and other kitchen tools are kept at the highest degree of cleanliness at all times. Contributes to the residents’ quality of life by assisting in providing exceptional dining services.
Qualifications and Skills

High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Ability to speak, understand, and read English when performing work duties which require this need.

Must have a full understanding an effective application of:

Sanitation, food borne illness, and cross-contamination policies and procedures.

Cleaning chemicals and other hazardous materials

The awareness of right-to-know issues

Use of HACCP protocols

Departmental policies and procedures.

Possesses an empathetic approach to the elderly.

Able to work in a team setting with residents, relatives, staff, and others.
