The Director of Treasury will play a critical role in strategic financial planning, cash management, and capital structure management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in treasury operations, financial analysis, and risk management, coupled with exceptional leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Monitor daily cash balances and cash forecasts to ensure liquidity needs are met
- Oversee:
- Treasury operations, including cash positioning, wire transfers, and bank account administration
- Accounts payable, including timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports
- Manage banking relationships, negotiate banking services and fees and support local banking needs for individual storage properties
- Drive improvements to the accounts payable and treasury functions, including the implementation of automated processes, paperless transactions and electronic payment methods
- Support implementation of new management systems to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Provide support to other departments, such as accounting, operations, asset management, expense management, etc. on payment and cash availability inquiries
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve any issues or disputes related to payments or invoices
- Train and develop accounts payable staff, including setting performance goals and conducting performance evaluations
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes for accounts payable
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 7-10 years’ of experience in treasury operations, cash management and/or accounts payable
- Knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems; proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to stakeholders
- Leadership and team management experience, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Customer service mindset and attitude
- Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
