Position Summary:
The Claims Representative will be responsible for the processing and managing of all material and labor claims. The Claims Representative is a member of the Administrative Assistant team and will also be responsible for providing general office support for day-to-day activities and a variety of tasks.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for processing and managing all material and labor claims.
Orders replacement materials to replace damaged or defective product.
Prepares and send samples to vendors.
Arranges returns and pick ups with freight quotes.
Apply payments and credits to claims.
Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to, photocopying, scanning, mailing and filing.
Handle requests for information and data.
Checks and compares data for accuracy and completeness.
Enters data into computer system.
Cross train with other office support roles within department.
Monitor processes. Ensure they are efficient and effective to complete work in a timely manner while being accurate.
Perform additional responsibilities as requested and required.
Education, Certification, and/or Training Requirements:
· High School diploma or GED equivalent.
· Previous administrative or office experience required.
Other Required Skills and Abilities:
· Attention to accuracy, detail and completeness.
· Must be driven, self-directed, resourceful and work with minimal supervision.
· Experience with Microsoft Office and other business software applications.
· Be a team player and able to effectively collaborate with others.
· Good judgement and decision making abilities.
Working Environment:
· Normal Office Environment.
