Summary: Greets and seats guests, takes payments from guests, and thanks guests for their patronage by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Greet guests when arriving and departing. *
2. Says “hello”, “thank you” and “goodbye” to every customer.*
3. Accommodates any special needs of guests; such as, highchairs and disabilities.*
4. Manages the wait list when the restaurant and patio seating is full.*
5. Brings guests to their table in a friendly, non-rushed manner; making sure the table is clean, dry and set, the chairs and booths are clean and dry, and the floor area near the table is clean and dry.*
6. Provides guests with menus/QR code, telling the guests the name of their server, and asking the guests to enjoy their meal, maintaining eye contact with the guests all the while.*
7. Assists servers with beverages, such as pouring coffee. *
8. Takes to-go orders over the telephone.*
9. Is knowledgeable of the restaurant hours, directions to the restaurant, and of the food products served.*
10. Is knowledgeable of all the table numbers and the server stations.*
11. Answers the telephone politely and professionally.*
12. Assures that the host/cashier station is kept clean and orderly.*
13. Clean and sanitize doors.*
14. Regularly checks for cleanliness of the bathrooms, and immediately informs management and bussers when the restrooms need to cleaned or stocked.*
14. Assures the correct appearance and cleanliness of the entry area. *
15. Communicates with customers and all employees in a professional manner.*
16. Operates the cash register to accurately maintain cash and credit card balances.*
17. Processes credit cards and gift cards.*
18. Adheres to all restaurant policies and procedures; maintains work areas in a sanitized and orderly manner in compliance with all local, state and federal health and safety regulations.*
19. Reports any maintenance, emergencies, and/or needed repairs immediately to the manager or to ownership.*
20. Reports any health and/or safety concerns/violations and/or policy violations immediately to management.*
21. Follow COVID-19 protocols and safety measures.
