We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to perform daily accounting tasks that will support our financial team. Accounting Assistant responsibilities include entering financial transactions into our internal databases and reconciling invoices. If you have an Accounting degree and are interested in gaining experience in bookkeeping procedures, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will help our Accounting department run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions.
Responsibilities
- Managing accounts payable using accounting software
- Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
- Analyzing workflow processes
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
- Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
- Prepare and process weekly vendor payments
- Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
- Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts
- Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
- Management and reconciliation of credit card account
- Help with month end closing duties
- Assist with audit projects
Requirements
- HS Diploma
- 1-2 years of accounts payable or accounting experience
- QuickBooks experience a plus
- Hands-on experience with MS Excel
- Reliable Transportation
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
- Familiarity with finance regulations
- Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
- Organization skills
- Extremely detail oriented
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
