Job Title: Front Desk Attendant (Part-time) Department: Parks and Recreation
Pay Scale: Range 1- $13.38 - $20.02 per hour (DOE) FLSA Code: Non-Exempt
Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Recreation Superintendent, the Front Desk Attendant performs front counter customer service. Work load will include; daily admissions, greeting patrons, answering telephones, registering patrons for programs or rentals, and monitoring and supervising the facility and the programs at the Lindon Community Center. Shifts are Monday - Friday from 3:00pm until the last program/reservation leaves the building and occasional Saturdays.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Greet and check-in patrons.

Provide friendly and respectful customer service to patrons, providing necessary assistance.

Register patrons for programs and facility/park rentals.

Collect payment and perform cashier responsibilities.

Perform general office work.

Answer phone calls and provide information to patrons.

Help with supervision and rule enforcement of the Community Center during rentals.

Maintain a clean environment and perform light janitorial duties, as needed.

Set-up and take down facility rentals, regularly scheduled meetings, events, and other activities.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Comfortable working alone in the evenings and locking up facility.

Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to learn recreation software and run a cash register.
- Computer skills and knowledge of internet-based programs and Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher.)

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Education/Experience

16 years of age or older. High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, sit, talk, hear, read and write. This position requires an employee to walk or run. He/she may periodically need to reach, stoop, crouch, or kneel. Employee may be asked to lift/carry and/or move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
