POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Director is responsible for the day-to-day clinical operation (part-time 15-20 hours per week) and oversight of the Center. The management spectrum covers planning, organizing, delegating, coordinating, staff utilization, resource allocation, cost controls, and compliance of the ambulatory surgery center located in Foster City, CA.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Additional languages preferred.
Demonstrated communication skills which indicate ability to be successful at counseling, teaching, and assessing. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common professional journals, nationally recognized guidelines, and regulations. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, staff, physicians, and regulatory agencies. Ability to effectively present information to staff, management, and physicians.
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, medical notes, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Registered Nurse with experience in procedures and/or operating room, PACU, or Pre-Admission in an endoscopic or surgical setting. BS degree in Nursing; prefer MBA in Health Care Administration or relevant work history. One year of management experience in ambulatory care setting preferred.
Basic computer knowledge.
REQUIRED LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION:
A current RN license from the State of CA. Current BCLS and ACLS certification
