Summary: Using induction melting equipment, melts and pours molten metal alloy to produce investment casting .

Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Considers Safety as Number 1 priority (OSHA, PPE, Layered audit, accident prevention, accident/near miss investigation and reporting, ergonomic exercise program); review job hazard analysis for department as appropriate.
2. Participates as a member of the TIC team in the following ways:
- Follow all written instructions

ii. After training, must be able to operate the following pieces of equipment
1. Melt Pots
2. Furnaces
Ensures control of delivery by:
- Effective use of ahead or behind sheets
- Care of equipment in proper, safe working order
- Prompt and effective communication with supervisor
3. Monitors and controls resources to reduce/reuse waste or excess.
4. Perform any combination of the following tasks:
- Pouring metal into molds
- Removing castings from molds
- Dressing castings
- Moving foundry materials
- Cleaning equipment
- Weighs out materials for furnace charge and loads charge into melting furnace
Qualifications:
High School diploma or demonstrated equivalent
Basic knowledge of computer use preferred
Relationships with others:
- Demonstrates cooperative work attitude toward and with employees, management, visitors, vendors and customers. Provides education to other employees in tactful manner. Leads by example
- Deals with employee conflict in professional, discreet manner. Refers to Departmental supervisor or Foundry Director as appropriate.
Physical Demands:
1. Able to see to read manuals, handle equipment safely, see details at a close range
2. Able to hear alarms, conversations in noisy atmosphere
3. Performs physical activities that that require considerable use of arms, legs and moving whole body, such as climbing, lifting (up to 75 lbs repeatedly in a 10 hour work-day), balancing, walking, stooping and handling of materials. Fine motor control for operating equipment, make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate or assemble very small objects
4. Must be able to work in high heat environment

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
