You will apply proposal and project management techniques in preparing, producing, and delivering clear, compliant, and compelling proposals in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Your knowledge and experience working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to quickly build a basic understanding of highly technical concepts (Human-centered design, modern software development, cloud, cybersecurity, AI/ML, data analytics etc.) are essential to success.
Your Role
- Interview Solution Architects and SMEs to document concepts, write responses, and articulate solutions, translating highly technical and complex concepts into easily understandable text for various audiences.
- Collaborate with Capture Managers, Solution Architects, Program Managers and Volume Leads to drive development of proposal responses and ensure written responses align with proposal requirements.
- Take ownership of assigned volumes, driving development to meet deadlines and develop quality written responses.
- Actively participate in team solutioning sessions to articulate solution, strategy, approach to performing the work, experience, win themes, and discriminators.
- Incorporate comments from multiple sources into documents and presentations, adjudicate comments from reviewers, and track the status of reviewer comments.
- Conceptualize graphics to communicate disparate management and technical information consicely.
- Assist with developing other marketing-related materials such as graphics, whitepapers, brochures, website content, etc.
- Assist with Quality Assurance activities and checks, including proofreading for grammar, compliance, and conformance to established strategies and plans.
- Manage and maintain version control of documents.
What’s Required
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Business, information technology or related field or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of professional experience developing proposals and related marketing materials with at least 3 years in the Federal Government sector.
- Highly proficient with gathering technical information to create customer-centric bids and proposal documents that flow logically and read with a single voice.
- Extensive experience with interviewing technical and non-technical staff to obtain necessary information and commitment for specific pursuits.
- Demonstrate the ability to understand Federal RFP requirements and generate compliant proposal content.
- Demonstrate the ability to interview, gather, understand, and write about Information Technology-related topics, trends, methodologies, and approaches.
- Excellent writing and analytic skills to support the development of various proposal volumes, including management, transition, technical, staffing, resumes, and past performance.
- Experience coordinating with appropriate SMEs and technical resources for the professional and optimum presentation of information.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 - Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong work ethic and desire to excel and keep growing over time.
- APMP certification is a plus.
