The Program Head Baseball is responsible for developing and leading the program while supporting and upholding the School’s mission. This is a year-round position in which the Program Head will coach three of the four seasons; fall, winter, and spring.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

Head coach of the Varsity program

Handle parent concerns related to the Baseball program

Identify, retain and manage a team parent
-
Work closely with Director of Athletics in hiring and evaluation of the coaching staff
-
Manage all scheduling needs for the program, organize off-campus sites, playoff locations and other needs
-
Attend all pertinent CIF, Pacific Coast Conference, Program Head and Seasonal Coaches meetings pertaining to the sport
-
Manage inventory and distribution of all uniforms and equipment for the program in conjunction with the Assistant Athletic Director
-
Work closely with Director of Athletics with the management of the budget for the program
-
Work closely with the Sage Hill School Strength and Conditioning Coach both in season and off season to develop a program to fit the needs of the team

Handle game day management for the program

Work closely with the Athletic Trainer in regards to the program player’s injuries and recovery plan
-
Support, attend and present awards for the program at the Seasonal Athletic Awards Celebration

Other duties as delegated by the Director of Athletics

B.A. or B.S. degree in appropriate field, M.A. or M.S. preferred
