In this role, you will assist with bank reconciliations as well as processing journal entries and assisting with the month-end closing period. The Accounting Clerk may also compile statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports and tables pertaining to cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Job Description:
Complete basic bookkeeping and accounting tasks
Post cash receipts, expenses, and other transactions to ledgers/journals
Review invoices, bills, vouchers, and other documents for correction
Reconcile and report any discrepancies
Create and maintain financial reports
Sort and file documents
Perform calculations
Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
Job Requirements:
At least 6 months of recent experience in general accounting, accounts payable, or accounts receivable
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
Experience using accounting software (QuickBooks, Excel, etc.)
Knowledge of accounting principles
Strong attention to detail
Must be able to submit to a background check and a drug screen
