Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team in preparing delicious and visually appealing meals. The ideal candidate will have experience working in kitchens, restaurants, or catering environments.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following recipes and menu planning
- Ensure food quality by tasting, smelling, and observing dishes to ensure they meet standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Monitor food stock levels and place orders as needed
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create new menu items
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Cook in a kitchen, restaurant, or catering setting
- Knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils including knives
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Culinary training or certification
- Experience in menu planning
- Previous work in a dietary department or food service industry
