Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry professional to join our culinary team. The Executive Pastry Chef will be responsible for preparing a variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods in accordance with our recipes and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pastry preparation, excellent attention to detail, craetivity.
Responsibilities:
- work directly with ownership in the execution of new store openings and the development of new base business growth
- Teach, develop, and grow a team of pastry cooks that will support the continuous growth of the business
- Lead a team in the production & preparation of a wide range of pastries, desserts, and breads following recipes accurately
- Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation while adhering to food safety standards
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new pastry items and seasonal offerings
- Assist in catering events by preparing pastry items for large groups
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a professional kitchen environment
- Proficient in food preparation techniques, including working with knives and other kitchen tools
- Familiarity with catering operations and producing pastries for events is a plus
- Knowledge of pastry techniques, such as laminated doughs & bread fermantation process
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests
- Understanding of food handling procedures, food production processes, and culinary principles
- Certification in food safety or relevant training in the food industry is advantageous
