A major manufacturing company in the Chicago, IL area is seeking a Sr. Maintenance Supervisor for their manufacturing plant. This role will oversee maintenance team leads / skilled trades and indirect unionized skilled trade employees in a 24/7 food manufacturing environment. The right candidate will have an engineering degree, union leadership experience, and a strong track record of Maintenance & Reliability ownership from a strong company.
Compensation:$95,000 - $105,000 Base Salary + Bonus/Overtime. Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD, LTD, 401k match, 15-20 days PTO.
Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday - Friday. 7am-4pm.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate with line leaders to achieve SQCDSM objectives (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability, Morale).

Manage daily operations and participate in Daily Management System meetings.

Oversee technology, processes, and maintenance systems for production lines.

Lead preventive maintenance planning and execution.
-
Drive system improvements with the Asset and Reliability team.

Manage change, spare parts localization, and cost reduction efforts.

Contribute to new initiatives and benchmarking processes.

Serve as a subject matter expert and trainer for maintenance practices.
Requirements:

Experience in manufacturing, particularly in process improvement and maintenance.

Proficiency in I2M/IIM Process and AM Step 3.

Leadership and influence at various organizational levels.

Knowledge of IIM, AM, PM pillars.

Strong leadership in food manufacturing, familiar with TPM, 5S, Lean 6 Sigma.

Qualifications:

Bachelor?s degree in engineering or a related technical field.

At least 5 years of maintenance management experience in food manufacturing or similar industries.

Required knowledge of preventive maintenance.

Union-labor experience preferred.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities.

Experience with HPO methodologies and/or Lean Six Sigma is a plus.
