Position Overview: The Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing all financial operations, ensuring profitability across multiple departments. This key position requires expertise in financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in QuickBooks Online, possess outstanding organizational acumen, and be dedicated to streamlining processes. Upholding our core principles of integrity, honesty, and exceptional service is of utmost importance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic financial plans to enhance profitability and minimize inefficiencies across all revenue streams.
- Forecast financial projections and prepare comprehensive budgets tailored to each department's requirements and return on investment (ROI).
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and deliver actionable insights to senior management.
- Supervise all accounting operations, including revenue management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
- Ensure precision and completeness of financial records within QuickBooks Online.
- Establish and uphold effective financial processes and internal controls.
- Oversee insurance coverage to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate closely with department heads to align the budget with operational objectives.
- Maximize profitability through effective cost management and revenue enhancement strategies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a bookkeeper handling payroll and accounts receivable/accounts payable functions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, finance, or related field CPA or CM certification preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance preferably within the hospitality or resort sector.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is essential.
- Strong proficiency in financial forecasting and budgeting.
- Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to develop and implement efficient processes and controls.
