SUMMARY
The Human Resources Generalist will assist with the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing, assistance with pay, benefits, and leave questions, and enforcing company policies and practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Facilitates new hire onboarding.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Assists with event planning and execution.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
- Attends Employee Planning Committee (EPC) monthly meetings and activities to ensure positive employee relations.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
- Participates in department meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
- Assists in ad-hoc HR projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
PHYISICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
