Three (3) 12-Hour Shifts 7:00am - 7:00pm + built in weekend rotation

Work closely with team of physicians and CNAs to support the patient as needed

Types of patients: car accident, sports injuries, broken bones and cuts, uncontrolled bleeding, chest pain, breathing difficulties, stroke, allergic reactions, abdominal pain, etc

Essential Job Functions:

Promote and enhance collaborative practice within the health care team to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of patients.

Provide input into the department's operational budget process by determining priorities for allocation of resources to meet identified department goals.

Demonstrate and promote the Performance Improvement process to ensure the highest quality of patient care.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age /weight of the patients served.

Comply with safety activities, policies and procedures and regulatory requirements such as OSHA and The Joint Commission.

Skills Needed:

IVs, lab draws, medication administration, patient education, documentation/charting, dressing changes, conscious sedation, perform EKGs, DME/splints/braces, doppler usage, cardiac monitoring, oxygen applications with airway management, nursing assessments, patient call backs/updates
Position Requirements:
Education:
-
Graduate from an accredited school/college of nursing.
- Required Registered Nursing licensed in the State of Nebraska or eligible compact state.

Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course (ENPC) required
Experience:
-
1+ Years of RN (Registered Nurse) Experience Preferred
Physical:

This position is classified as Medium Work in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, requiring the exertion of up to 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 10 to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
