Process Engineer
The Manufacturing Process Engineer at LTD Material provides continuous support to all company manufacturing needs. This position will require the creation of new manufacturing processes and finetuning existing ones for the purpose developing the most cost efficient and effective methods. The role will entail various engineering tasks to include (but not limited to):
Task Elements:
- Interpret, create, and change manufacturing BOMs, Routers, and engineering drawings
- Create, Review, and modify CNC Mill Programs
- Review all related paperwork and information required for production routers including material, processes, and cycle time
- Note any special customer requirements or requests and communicate to appropriate departments to ensure production of parts meets all customer specifications
- Confirm accuracy of production processes
- Research and cross reference various materials to determine best fit for jobs
- Review and understand part drawings (including the ability to interpret GD&T)
- Create 3D/2D CAD Drawings
- Provide information and manufacturing costs for quoting purposes
- Facilitate flow of materials between various departments
- Effectively utilize ERP systems (preferably Global Shop Solutions experience)
- Participate in engineering projects
- Engage in continuous process improvements
Requirements Include:
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical /Manufacturing Engineering
- Preferred 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong math, trigonometry, and analytical skills
- Strong 3D CAD experience; (Autodesk Inventor or Solid works)
- Strong knowledge of engineering drawings (to include ability to interpret GD&T)
- CAD/CAM software experience (Mastercam preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems
- Manufacturing Process Creation and Development
- Good verbal and written communication skills including the ability to organize and communicate information clearly and effectively
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to write and interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram and schedule format
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail under time sensitive conditions
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
- Ability to work autonomously when given instructions and/or projects
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
