Seeking a candidate with a passion to improve the health of the community in an outpatient/retail setting for people often presenting with barriers to receiving or understanding health care. Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well with a large pharmacy team (staff of 25+). Preference given to those with experience with any of the following: independent pharmacy practice, 340B program, custom medication packaging, immunizations, and mental health medications. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (This list may not be all inclusive.)
- Accept, validate, interpret and process prescription orders.

Initiate and complete calls with providers regarding appropriate drug therapy.

Answer questions and provide information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, storage of pharmaceuticals.

Verify technician's preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals, order entries, charges, and inspections.

Maintain established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.

Ensure pharmacy is compliant with best practices for 340B pharmacies.

Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' work flow; verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceutical; verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.

Responsible for Formulary Management – including Therapeutic Interchange or Substitution, and Coverage Review Programs.

Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. required
Experience: Minimum 1-year experience
Certificate/License: Current state license to practice pharmacy
