Hours: 40 hours, Monday- Friday, flexibility on some evenings due to events.
Location: Main Campus

High School Math Teacher
Nazareth Prep is seeking a passionate and dedicated math teacher to join our vibrant learning community. We are committed to maintaining a strong STEM and math program for all students, fostering a love of learning and preparing them for success in college and career.
Our Ideal Candidate:
● Focus on rigorous mathematics for all students. This position prioritizes ensuring all students, regardless of prior experience, have access to challenging and engaging math content that prepares them for future success.
● Develop and deliver a high-quality math curriculum. This role requires a deep understanding of high school math standards and the ability to create well-sequenced units that develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and other next-generation skills.
● Support diverse learners. Experience effectively supporting underprepared students and helping them meet grade-level expectations as well as challenge advanced students is an expectation. This position views student needs as opportunities for growth.
● Integrates technology to enhance learning. The ability to use digital tools and applications to improve instruction and personalize learning experiences is essential.
● Creates an inclusive and equitable classroom environment. This role fosters a welcoming and inclusive classroom where all students are treated with dignity and respect as learners, and all feel valued and supported in reaching their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
● Design and deliver engaging and rigorous math courses, including Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, Introductory Computer Science, and Precalculus.
● Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including differentiation, project-based learning, and technology integration.
● Monitor student progress, provide clear and actionable feedback, and offer targeted support to ensure all students achieve learning objectives.
● Collaborate with colleagues to develop a cohesive math curriculum and share best practices.
● Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in math education.
● Serve as an internship manager, guiding a cohort of students in developing essential skills for success in the workplace.
Qualifications
● Undergraduate degree in math or related field.
● Two or more years of teaching experience is preferred.
● Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
● Willingness to learn and grow in teaching craft.
● Ability to coach and teach underprepared students on grade level and to challenge grade level and advanced students.
● Ability to model tenacity and resilience in living our learning mission.
● Must have Act 33/34 and FBI clearances and driver’s license
● Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
