Summary of Responsibilities:
The Assistant Director of Rehabilitation (ADOR) main responsibility will be to provide operational and administrative oversight, concise communication with the Director of Rehabilitation, coordination of patient cases, and ensuring care and services are assigned and delivered by clinical personnel appropriately as well as complying with established in-house, state, and federal regulations. It is very important that the ADOR stays current with all relevant medical guidelines, insurance guidelines, regulations, and laws to maintain facility compliance. This includes providing mentorship for new grads, training new personnel, and providing up-to-date standards of practice education to all therapy personnel. Patience, critical thinking, and the ability to communicate both written and verbally are imperative for this role as regular commuting between Old Mill Rehabilitation and Old Cheney Rehabilitation is required. Both administrative and clinical skills are necessary to ensure that all services provided are efficient and meet the expected quality of Old Cheney Rehabilitation. Our smaller facilities ensure that the Assistant Director of Rehabilitation can quickly connect with our patients and staff to guarantee patient dignity and make a positive lasting impression.
Qualifications
- Licensed to practice as Physical Therapist in the state of Nebraska or holds Nebraska PT Compact Privilege.
- Two years (2) of appropriate experience as a physical therapist in transitional care unit/ skilled nursing facility or clinical experience preferred.
- Two years (2) of appropriate experienced as a physical therapist in a managerial or administration setting experience preferred.
- Obtain and maintain current BLS CPR/ First Aid Certification.
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order to get to and from work in various weather conditions to ensure reliability, required.
