Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting various HR functions and initiatives within the organization.
Main Tasks:
· Recruitment, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions
· Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals
· Keeps records of benefits plans participation, such as insurance, personnel transactions (new hires), promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting
· Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance
· Studies legislation, arbitration decisions to assess industry trends
· Responds to inquires regarding policies, procedures, and programs such as performance review, safety, and harassment
· Front-line contact ensuring that employee queries are addressed
· Bi-weekly hourly and salary time and attendance for payroll utilizing ADP
· Other duties as assigned
Important Particular Tasks:
· Member of the Workplace Safety and H&S Committee / Oversee the administration of WCB – Disability Program
· Provide administrative support for all Human Resources, training and EHS related activities
· Coordinate and monitor performance appraisal and test training systems
· Prepare and distribute required reports
· Manage all aspect of HR related social events in conjunction with the leadership team
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelors degree in Business Management or related field of study OR related work experience
· Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in a manufacturing facility or managing in a related field
· Self starter
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work independently
· Ability to work cross-functionally
· Passionate about Human Resources
· Demonstrates Excel skills of an intermediate level or above

Pay: $60,983.00 - $64,195.00 per year
