JOB OVERVIEW:
The Payroll Specialist will support the payroll department and report to the Payroll Supervisor. The Payroll Specialist will process, maintain and ensure the accuracy of multi-state weekly and bi-weekly payrolls, deductions, tax data, and reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Accurately process and maintain weekly and bi-weekly payrolls.
2. Review all garnishments and ensure compliance.
3. Coordinate distribution of payroll reports/checks as needed.
4. Audit all payroll information for accuracy to ensure completeness.
5. Audit and process expense reports.
6. Assist with verification of employment requests.
7. Process payroll deductions for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, health, FSA and HSA, dependent life, group term life, 401k and 401k loans, and garnishments.
8. Process weekly, bi-weekly and monthly reports from the ADP Report Writer, Certify and Kronos time keeping programs as needed.
9. Assist in handling compliance with various federal and state regulations
10. Audit monthly workers compensation reports from ADP for accuracy.
11. Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
12. Must be able to meet deadlines in a high paced environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma required. Some college preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of full cycle payroll experience.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft business applications and various reporting software, especially Excel.
- Experience with ADP (Workforce Now version or similar experience preferred).
- Experience with time keeping and expense management systems a plus.
- Ability to assess, evaluate and solve problems; must exercise good judgment.
- Must be flexible and able to adapt to changes at the last minute.
- Able to work additional hours as necessary.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Pass the Company background check and drug test.
