POSITION SUMMARY
Under general supervision, the Facility Specialist, Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly Building / Facility, performs a variety of semi-skilled tasks and may assist in duties involving Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC skills, operation of various power tools, and light-to-medium related equipment. Work performed with some independence within established policies, procedures, and techniques, is subject to general or direct supervision as the work situation warrants.
As part of the DSV team, Associates are expected to meet company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, and quality. Associates are expected to comply with all corporate and site-specific policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Maintain offices, cubical, conference rooms, restrooms, and or any other office space clean and in orderly fashion.
· Prepare conference rooms with coffee, drinks, and or food (when required)
· Maintain Storage areas (neat and clean)
· Maintains cleanliness of exterior grounds (bay areas, lobby entrances, etc.,)
· Floors must be maintained daily to ensure cleanliness, free of dirt and debris, obstacles, and trip/slip hazards. Post hazard information signs where needed.
· Trash Receptacles are expected to be emptied, all warehouse and office trash receptacles daily - or as necessary.
· Window should be cleaned weekly or as necessary.
· Replace or refill all water dispensers (jugs) in warehouse and office areas daily or as needed.
· Check office and warehouse lighting weekly and report outages to your supervisor.
· Operate sweeper/lift in accordance with OSHA requirements. Proper preventive maintenance records must be kept and required PPE must be in place at all times.
· Maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. Conduct daily “pre-operating” inspections and perform minor maintenance on the equipment intended for use. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Report any faulty or damaged items to your supervisor.
· Preventative Maintenance responsibilities include but not limited to executing and maintaining preventative maintenance systems for the building and equipment. Will perform routine and long-term preventative maintenance on building and fire extinguisher to meet monthly inspections. Collaborate with site management on routine.
· Safety responsibilities include but not limited to identifying, reporting, and correcting any safety hazards.
· Will assist in identifying the source of problems as they arise and make recommendations for resolution.
· To perform assigned duties, the equipment used can include but are not limited to sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, sweeper scrubber, scissor lift, cherry picker, or pallet jack. Operates common hand or power tools. Will adhere to the Basic Safety Forklift Guidelines while operating all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods. Will maintain an active forklift certification.
· Perform or assist in grounds maintenance as assigned.
OTHER DUTIES

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
· Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
· Able to operate MHE or become certified within 30 days of hire.
· Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months can range from mild to moderate
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations
· Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program

· 6 months experience in same role

While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
