St. James Catholic School, in North Miami, Florida has an opening for a full-time Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Teacher/Interventionist for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. This candidate is passionate about teaching students and knowledgeable in strategies that facilitate learning for students with learning disabilities and other exceptionalities. The teacher will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for students in an ESE Classroom/Resource room. The ESE teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience.
- BS / BA Degree in Exceptional Student Education.
- Florida Department of Education ESE teaching certificate; temporary or professional required.
- Experience with teaching multi-grade level students with varying cognitive/ developmental exceptionalities or disabilities, with proficiency in effective strategies.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
- Strong presentation skills with use of instructional technologies.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in a Roman Catholic environment required.
- Knowledge of basic tenets of Roman Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
- Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience.
