We are seeking a hands-on, experienced House Manager to oversee and actively participate in the day-to-day operations of our private residence. This role combines direct household management, personal involvement in tasks, project coordination, and staff supervision to ensure the smooth running of the estate. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in organizing our newly occupied home and managing upcoming renovations.Key Responsibilities (to be both managed and personally performed):
- Move-In Organization
- Personally unpack and organize numerous boxes containing household items, clothing, and small appliances
- Develop, implement, and maintain an efficient storage system for all unpacked items
- Coordinate with family members to ensure items are placed according to preferences
- Create and maintain an inventory of unpacked items and their locations
- Household Organization and Procurement
- Directly manage inventory and purchase household supplies, groceries, and equipment
- Personally organize and maintain storage areas, closets, and pantries
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for regular deliveries
- Remodel Project Management
- Actively oversee all aspects of the upcoming home remodel
- Personally coordinate with designers, architects, and contractors
- Manage timelines, budgets, and quality control for construction projects
- Maintenance and Cleaning
- Develop, implement, and personally follow a comprehensive maintenance schedule
- Create, manage, and perform tasks on checklists for weekly, monthly, and yearly maintenance
- Ensure proper care of surfaces and materials, using appropriate cleaning products
- Coordinate and oversee repairs and maintenance with relevant professionals
- Staff Management
- Directly supervise and schedule two Housekeeper/Nannies
- Provide hands-on training and guidance to household staff
- Ensure and model high standards of service and professionalism
- Calendar and Event Management
- Personally manage family and household schedules
- Plan, coordinate, and assist in executing household events and gatherings
- Security and Privacy
- Personally maintain and enforce household security protocols
- Ensure family privacy and confidentiality in all personal actions
Qualifications:
- Proven hands-on experience as a House Manager, preferably in a high-end estate setting
- Strong organizational skills with personal experience in move-in management and unpacking
- Ability to create, implement, and personally maintain efficient storage and organization systems
- In-depth knowledge of proper storage and care for various household items, clothing, and appliances
- Extensive knowledge of household operations, maintenance, and cleaning techniques
- Experience in project management, particularly in home renovation or construction
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with ability to personally handle multiple responsibilities
- Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in household management software and basic computer skills
- High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities
- Willingness and ability to personally perform a wide range of household tasks

- Hands-on experience with move-in logistics and organization
