Join one of New York's largest community health centers with many decades in healthcare. The Medical Director oversees the clinical operations of the assigned practice and programs, ensuring compliance with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
Job Function:

Direct supervision of all medical providers based at the practice.
- Conducts bi-annual evaluations and annual competency assessments for specialist providers.
- Participates in monthly leadership meetings to strategize and coordinate clinical activities.
- Monitors provider productivity, quality performance through peer reviews and clinical registries, and regulatory compliance (e.g., Joint Commission, NCQA).
- Supports clinical research programs by overseeing their impact and performance where applicable.
- Collaborates with Nursing, Social Work, and administrative managers in staff hiring, evaluation, and management of patient-related issues.
- Communicates regularly with regional medical directors regarding provider and staff needs.
- Attends Clinical Director’s Group (CDG) meetings to align strategies and initiatives.
- Provides compassionate, effective patient care and serves as a resource for staff.
- Utilizes scientific evidence to enhance patient care and adheres to organizational best practices, quality improvement initiatives, and evidence-based medicine (EBM) guidelines.
Job Requirements:

Clinical Leadership experience preferred
- NY State Medical License
- Board Certified Family Medicine
- Current BCLS
- Current DEA Certificate
