We are looking for a Front of House Manager to head the dining room. This beautiful upscale French bistro has a full liquor license and 42 seats. We are looking for someone that is charismatic and can deliver exceptional hospitality. The Front of house manager will be responsible for managing day to day operations of servers, bartenders and hosts. The second opportunity is for a cafe manager for Groundswell Cafe + Bakery in Tiverton, RI. The position will be a key holder position responsible for assisting with all day-to-day operations including maintaining all SOP’s and going above and beyond to provide exceptional guest service. The cafe manager will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining beverage and food inventory and assisting the general manager in cafe service and administrative duties. Candidates must be team players with great attitudes and 4+ years FOH management experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred. While there are many duties and responsibilities for a Front of House Manager, some include:
- Schedule and coordinate meetings.
- Conduct employee performance reviews.
- Develop good customer relationships.
- Participate in recruitment and dismissal processes.
- Smooth out problems within the workplace.
- Address employee and customer concerns.
- Develop strategies for better workplace efficiency and goal achievement.
- Email and phone correspondence.
- Liaise between managers, customers and employees.
- Provide direction to staff.
- Monitor spending patterns and budget.
- Fill in for other managers in times of absence. Make executive decisions, hold meetings and provide accountability.
- Manage daily operations and motivate staff to provide a sophisticated customer experience.
- Hire and train staff to provide excellent customer service while managing labor costs.
- Set and manage staff schedule
- Perform, manage and follow all cash management, POS reporting and oversee opening and closing duties.
- Supervise staff daily to maintain smooth operations and a consistently elevated customer experience.
- Monitor inventory and coordinate orders and new product selections with owner and vendors
- Ensure all team members are fully educated and knowledgeable about product offerings
- MOST IMPORTANTLY maintain a fun, friendly vibe and welcoming atmosphere for patrons.

- Develop and implement strategies to achieve company goals and objectives
- Ensure efficient and effective use of resources to maximize productivity and profitability
- Monitor and analyze market trends and competition to identify opportunities for growth
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and resolving any issues or complaints
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, such as suppliers, vendors, and customers
- Implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
- Manage inventory levels and ensure stock availability to meet customer demand
- Utilize strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Experience:
- Proven experience in a managerial role in a similar industry
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in math
- Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
