Job Description
Geometrics Engineering is currently seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Civil and Aviation Practice in Texas and the Pacific Northwest. This position will augment Geometrics’ team of Project Managers, Construction Managers, Geotechnical Engineers and other staff, from offices in Redmond, WA, and Texas offices in Dallas, Houston and Austin.
Key Responsibilities
- Geotechnical project manager: able to deliver Geotechnical projects from proposals, through designs, to final reports.
- Develop engineering designs for a variety of airport, municipal, and private projects with complex soil, pavement, drainage, and structural components.
- Perform analysis and design for: slope stability, retaining walls, shoring, and deep foundations.
- Plan and perform surface and subsurface investigations, including coordination with multiple subcontractors, clients, permits and phases.
- Assign, review, and incorporate laboratory tests.
- Prepare Geotechnical reports, plans, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates.
- Manage SOW, budget and schedule for assigned contracts.
- Train engineers, designers, and technicians
- Represent the company in industry conferences, workshops, out-reach events, pre-proposal conferences, etc.
Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering, MS preferred
- Professional Engineering License preferred
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in Geotechnical Engineering
- Willingness to travel for geotechnical fieldwork (short durations)
- Valid Driver’s license
- Proficient with MS Office®
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
