Our healthcare providers include a diverse group of members such as pediatricians, psychologists, licensed professional counselors, licensed clinical social workers, and psychometrists.
Mind Works specializes in children between the ages of 3 to 17 years and their caregivers. This is accomplished through an integrated healthcare approach to treatment that includes psychological, educational, developmental assessments; evidenced based psychotherapy; and medication assisted treatment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic intervention with children and adolescents with mental health disorders utilizing empirically supported modalities
- Provide parent feedback and skills training when working with children
- Attend, participate, and collaborate in treatment team meetings and/or professional staff conferences with other pediatricians, psychologists, and clinicians for an effective, coordinated, and integrated treatment plan
- Provide evidenced-based play therapy interventions using various modalities for children and adolescents
- Meet ethical obligations for timely documentation of rendered services per State of Texas
- Create and provide educational outreach presentations regarding mental health-related topics and issues
- Per state licensure and/or certification requirements, participate in continuing education and professional development activities related to the performance of job functions and maintenance of skills in one’s professional specialty
- Maintain an open line of communication with care providers, patients, and their family members to efficiently address assessment concerns
- Seek consultation from peers and leadership for difficult clinical cases per State of Texas licensure requirements
- Maintain an open line of communication with care providers, patients, and their family members in order to efficiently address treatment concerns
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications Required:
- Master’s degree in mental health-related field
- Current Texas State License (LPC)
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices utilized in clinical interventions
- Experience with children and adolescents ages 3-17 (Preferred)
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records
- Experience with TherapyNotes (Preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Motivation to grow and promote new office
