Ideal Candidate: Responsible for preparing and issuing invoices to clients, recording payments received, and following up on overdue accounts. The Biller will work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely billing and collections.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Receives files to be billed from Operations

Audits files prior to billing
-
Enter invoices into the Accounting software

Submit invoices via mail or electronically to customer, depending on customer preference; refer back to the Account Profile to know how the customer wishes to be billed

Resolve any billing discrepancies or issues with customers
-
Maintain accurate records and documentation of all billing activities

Assist with month-end close and other accounting tasks as needed

Acts as a backup to peers if someone is out of the office

Assist with the Receptionist function, as needed.

Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
QUALIFICIATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
-
1-2 years experience as Entry Level Biller (billing clerk)

Logistics or service industry billing experience strongly preferred

Knowledge of computers and relevant software.

Must maintain a level of confidentiality
-
Must have the ability to work independently and accurately
-
Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook
-
Must be able to work overtime during the week of closing including the weekend if needed

High School Diploma or equivalent

Able to demonstrate the manual dexterity to operate a personal computer effectively.

Able to operate a personal computer, either desktop or laptop, for extended periods of time creating, composing and reviewing documents and spreadsheets.
