FOOD SAFETY & QUALITY MANAGER NEEDED!
45 hours, 5 days a week (including Saturday availability)
At The Killer Brownie® Co., food safety and quality assurance are our primary concerns. The Food Safety and Quality Assurance Department upholds our rigorous standards and, as the Food Safety and Quality Manager, you'll maintain and improve those procedures. In addition to managing and mentoring the Food Safety & Quality Technicians, you'll play a vital role in upholding our food safety and quality culture. You’ll manage and monitor our quality programs and work closely with all departments to achieve high food safety standards throughout our product line, building, and equipment. You’ll be a sharp-eyed leader, ensuring that the product’s first impression reflects our vigilance and standards for quality.
What you'll do:
Fulfill the mission and vision of the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Department
Manage the implementation of food safety and schemes, including GFSI/SQF, GMP, and Allergen Control
Manage Food Safety and Quality Technicians
Manage and approve vacation request for FS/QA Technicians
Manage weekly hourly/overtime budget for FS/QA Technicians
Manage product retention
Mentor technicians to ensure the success of the FSMS and Quality programs
Monitor, maintain, and update hold and release records to comply with all SQF, GMP, sanitation, labeling, and quality policies and procedures
Monitor Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Food Safety Plans in accordance with HACCP and FDA guidelines
Monitor and compile data from production runs to refine processes
Make data driven decisions daily to maintain quality
Implement the Food Safety Management System (FSMS), to include food safety fundamentals and food safety plan
Work with Senior Food Safety and Quality Manager on Corrective Action Reports and monitoring of Corrective Actions
Work with all departments to ensure quality standards are met
Work closely with the upper management to ensure that the building, equipment, and processes are in compliance with the Killer Brownie FSMS and Quality program
Compile and monitor data from production runs to refine processes
Communicate information that ensures the effective implementation and maintenance of the Food Safety and Quality Systems
Organize and lead team training on Food Safety and Quality
Coordinate shift activities with FSQA Assistant Manager and Leads to meet production goals
Serve as a backup for SQFP and PCQI

Requirements:
Food Safety & Quality Management experience (GFSI standards)
Previous baking experience*
16-hour HACCP certified*
PCQI*
Understanding of SQF Code and Food Safety Modernization Act (FMSA) regulations
Able to continuously bend, push, and pull
Able to lift 50lbs
Able to stand for long periods of time
Able to work some Saturdays
Able to travel for business, as necessary
