ü Responsible for providing training and creating work schedules.
ü Evaluating the performance of workers, rewarding high performers and disciplining employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.
ü Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure their unit meets the expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
ü Acts as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
ü May act as a mentor, develop employees and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
ü Perform other duties as assigned.
ü Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
ü Enters orders accurately into POS device; accepts cash and charge payments.
ü Replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area.
ü Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
ü Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils.
ü Ensures proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards.
ü Keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service.
ü Cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments.
ü Greets customers courteously and interacts in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction. Relays relevant concerns from customers to supervisors.
ü Serves customers quickly and efficiently, and prevents delays in serving lines.
ü Demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to customers.
ü Serves as an advocate of selling techniques to the customer by establishing good communication and assisting in the buying decision-making process.
ü Ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively per standards. Serves food neatly and attractively per standard.
Qualifications
- Barista experience
- Coffee experience
- Customer service skills
- Knowledge of POS systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Ability to handle cash transactions and operate a cash register
- Understanding of food safety protocols
- Strong time management and sales skills
- Experience in food preparation and food service industry
- Basic math skills and retail math knowledge
- Familiarity with food handling and cash handling procedures
