UNO's Su Casa Restaurant is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team; experience in Mexican cuisine preferred!
Kitchen Managers are the heart of our operations, the culinary experts who maintain top-notch operating conditions in our kitchen. The Kitchen Manager has responsibility for the selection, development and performance management of restaurant employees, optimizing profits and increasing sales. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of kitchen operations, food cost, specs, recipe knowledge, and food preparation.
What you will be doing:
- Manage all operations during scheduled shifts, including daily decision-making, staff support, guest interaction, scheduling, product quality and cleanliness
- Identifying opportunities to build sales and control costs
- Ensuring proper security procedures are in place
- Act as a partner to all parties involved with the restaurant, including guests, the area team, senior management, operations management, unit managers and hourly employees.
- Preparing end of shift reports including daily labor control, daily food control and daily sales
What you will bring to the table:
- 3 + years of kitchen management experience in a full service restaurant
- Knowledge of and experience in Mexican cuisine
- An eye for sales trends is essential.
- A working knowledge of P&L is required.
- Must adhere to sanitary guidelines.
- Strong time management, organization skills, and communication skills are required.
- Ability to coach FOH staff on menu items and manage expo.
- Transportation required
