An award-winning, busy, electrical contractor specializing in residential/commercial service work and renovations seeks an energetic, smart, professionally-minded person to work in our office. Located in Hyattsville, our company offers a family-friendly work environment. Our electricians and electrical apprentices are among the best in the business. The office staff coordinate and oversee their work schedules. We are looking for a self-starter who will contribute his/her talents and energy to help a good company get even better!
General Duties:
- Complete and manage the administrative/business development aspects of electrical projects and complex service calls from start to finish.
- Maintain and acquire knowledge about the latest technologies employed in lighting systems and switching, energy management, and other relevant, emergent technologies.
More Specific Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits to understand project parameters, technical requirements, and identify potential issues.
- Review and interpret project contracts and blueprints.
- Establish and adhere to cost estimates, project timelines, and resource allocations.
- Coordinate with team members, other contractors and customers to prepare for and/or promptly overcome obstacles or respond to sudden, necessary revisions.
- Communicate effectively throughout the entire job with team members, other contractors and customers.
- Ensure compliance with the NEC, local jurisdictions, safety regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing electrical projects and/or complex service calls either as an electrician, as a project manager or in a similar role.
- Good knowledge of new and existing residential electrical systems. Washington, DC is our market, so an understanding of the older electrical systems found in the city would be ideal.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with a demonstrable history of meeting deadlines and bringing projects to a successful close in a timely manner.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, and contracts.
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proficient in cloud-based software.

Pay: $68,000.00 - $83,000.00 per year
