Senior Accountant (Chinese preferred)
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for accounting and reporting activities. S/he will be responsible for all accounting functions. This is a hands-on role that requires an individual who can perform activities themselves. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare and record accounting transactions and analyze account information
- Responsible for revenue reconciliations, deposits, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, fixed asset additions and depreciation, amortization, accruals, and bank reconciliations
- Responsible for general ledger, and other accounting related functions, including general ledger coding of all invoices to ensure proper accounting treatment
- Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts
- Responsible for all journal entries to ensure proper accounting treatment and support
- Prepare year-end financial statements and footnotes, including supporting footnote schedules
- Prepare audit schedules and departmental-financial reports
- Act as the liaison with the organization's auditors and prepare all required schedules to complete the annual audit
- Maintain proper internal controls and handle payroll Required Skills
*** Experience Needed *** (Internal book record, QuickBooks system a must)
- 5 or more years of accounting experience required
- Minimum of a BA in accounting required (CPA preferred)
- Bilingual in both English and Mandarin
- Experience with allocations of shared costs
- Familiarity with restaurant accounting management
- Experience and knowledge with accounting software, MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook and Quick Book.
- Strong technical accounting experience including financial statement preparation and internal controls required.
- Effective communication skills required, including proficiency in clearly communicating information about finances and accounting issues to non-accountants and individuals with varying levels of financial expertise. • Ability to work effectively with a small collaborative team.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
