Career Enclosure Consultant
LeMessurier seeks a talented and creative individual for our enclosure group in Boston or Portland with experience in the assessment, design, and project management of building enclosure projects. Experience and knowledge in historic masonry construction, modern curtain wall, and rain screen design systems, and roofing systems of all types are necessary.
The Enclosure Group within LeMessurier is a full-service consulting division specializing in the investigation, evaluation, and repair of building enclosures of all ages. Our experienced consultants provide our clients with specialized knowledge and skill set to understand how building enclosures should be designed and assembled, how building enclosures age once installed, and how to maintain this critical component of the building to maintain its maximum performance value. From onsite assessments and forensic investigations to the preparation of construction documents, LeMessurier provides our clients a level of professional consulting services matched by none.
Our ideal candidate for this position would have a documented history in building enclosures and embody the desire to investigate, analyze and solve complex building envelope failures. They would have the ability to accurately document and explain the issues to the client as well as offer remedial design solutions to remedy the situation. Additionally, this candidate would have strong computer & graphic presentation skills, be proficient in Autodesk Revit, Auto Cad 12 or higher, excellent technical writing skills with proficiency in creating project plans to include project specifications. Excellent communication skills are necessary with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with clients as well as colleagues. Knowledge in understanding, interpreting, and applying applicable building codes, design principles, regulations, and professional standards of care is expected. Holding Registered Roof Consultant credentials is a plus!
The candidate should be a highly motivated person focused on superior client service and technical excellence with a desire to excel in a fast-paced environment. Minimum requirements include:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher education in architectural design and/or engineering.
- 10 to 15 years of progressive design or building experience in building enclosures.
- Professional licensure is preferred but not required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Clean driving record.
- Availability to travel and stay overnight for short periods of time.
Duties shall include:
· Assist in building conditions surveys and assessments in the field.
· Writing technical reports and assessments.
· Provide architectural design support within the Design Department.
· Resolve complex technical/design issues and provide guidance to the client and team.
· Manage and communicate regularly with project team, consultants, and other team members regarding project status; ensure work meets clients’ requirements and is completed timely and within budget.
· Maintain records to document all phases of client/architect/contractor relationship and activities.
· Perform a variety of enclosure staff level duties, as needed and dependent on project scope.
· Assist in design department activities as defined by the needs of the client.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
