We are looking for an HR Assistant to join our clients team. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with room for growth.
Location: Houston, TX 77066
Pay: $18/hr
Shift: M-F 8-5
The HR Assistant will be a customer-focused person with a business-oriented mindset. This is an entry-level position and is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and technical human resource activities in support of our employees and managers.
Responsibilities:
· Will coordinate events during Holidays/employee relations events.
· Support administrative processes of the human resource function including recruiting, new hire processing, personnel file maintenance, verification of employment requests and I9 compliance.
· Act as first point of contact for inquiries into HR from internal and external employees by providing a high level of professionalism and promptly responding in accordance with our service delivery standards.
· Responsible for data entry, verification, managing workflow, auditing, reporting within payroll (HRIS system) to ensure highest level of data integrity.
· Assist with HR projects and programs including distribution of items, staying in compliance and status reports.
· Supports daily and yearly HR duties such as open enrollment, 401(k), and employee training where necessary.
· Help with verifying end of year forms – W2 and 1095C
· Stays up to date with Compliance needs
· Additional tasks as assigned by HR Manager/ Benefit and Payroll Administrator.
Required Skills:
· Professional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate thoughts and ideas.
· Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities and manage time accordingly.
· Flexible and willing to take initiative, bring new ideas to the team and support the team as needed.
· Able and willing to handle multiple assignments with a high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
· Can manage through multiple computer applications with speed and accuracy.
· Ability to multi-task while under pressure.
· Ability to work professionally in a team environment as well as cross-functionally.
· Experience with HRIS, MS Office/Windows
Required Experience:
· 1-2 years of experience in HR or customer facing administrative type role.
· Bilingual
