OVERVIEW
The Senior Retail Associate will assist in overseeing a retail location’s staff and activities to ensure delivery of the Soccer Post authentic soccer customer experience while achieving established financial and non-financial targets. They will assist in managing daily operations of the retail store under the guidance of their Manager including operational opening and closing tasks. The ideal candidate is passionate about customers, teams, and the opportunity to make an impact on their community.
Must have weekend availability

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Embodies and supports the Soccer Post company values.
- Assist in Supervising and managing daily operations of the retail store
- Assists in recruiting, hiring and training of new team members.
- Ensure excellent customer service by training and coaching staff on phone etiquette, product knowledge, and sales techniques
- Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment and merchandising
- Assists with schedules for staff for regular hours and special events or high-traffic times. Ensures all required hour coverage is met by the team.
- Assist in creating and implementing sales strategies to meet or exceed store targets
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations in a professional manner
- Handles performance issues of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy
- Keeps well informed about upcoming/future product and launch dates.
- Collaborate with the store manager to develop and execute promotional activities
- Assists with team orders and special orders.
- Active involvement on the sales floor to address customer needs and resolve issues to help foster customer, community and team relationships.
- Ensures the store is safe, clean, well stocked and meets merchandising visual standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably with supervisory experience
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and staff
- Familiarity and ability to learn budgeting principles and experience in managing store expenses
- Proficient in shift management, including scheduling and assigning tasks
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to make decisions under pressure as well as problem solve.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and POS software
REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space.
- Some periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
