Job Summary
The Accountant will play a key role in supporting the month-end close process and preparing financial statements. This individual would possess a variety of Accounting concepts, practices and procedures. Must be able to use sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals annd experiece to work on complex tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations.
- Review general ledger activity to ensure accurate classifications.
- Provide variance explanations in a clear and concise manner.
- Responsible for the month-end close process & meeting deadlines.
- Prepare timely and accurate supporting schedules and analysis.
- Participate in process review and propose and execute process improvements to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
- Effectively communicate with co-workers, managers, and subordinates.
- Ability to think analytically and conduct research for transactions as needed.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Advance Excel skills such as Pivot Table, V Lookup.
- Collaborating with various teams to support financial projects
- Providing general administrative and financial support as needed.
- Special projects as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Marketing or equivalent
- 1-3 years of work experience required

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with advanced knowledge of Excel (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).
