Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial activities, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and standards, and driving process improvements. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights to senior management
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions and financial data
- Collaborate with auditors and tax professionals during audits and tax filings
- Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff
- Support strategic financial initiatives and special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role, with at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
- Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
