Description Summary
Promotes B.Y.O.T. Auto Parts’ Company Culture as a team player to help the team achieve its productivity goals while maintaining a high level of integrity, appearance, professionalism, and attention to detail. The inventory specialist is responsible for the inventory of all vehicles at the facility, reviewing transfer of ownership documents for completeness and accuracy, and coordinating tow driver scheduling.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities – Inventory
· Account for incoming vehicles
o Enter vehicle information into Inventory System
o Generate stock tags for units
o Locate and apply stock tags to units
o Identify units final yard location (regular yard, special pricing, for sale, etc.)
o Identify vehicles that can possibly be resold, place a hold hat on the vehicle, and notify the General manager
· Maintain inventory movements to and from the yard
o Enter information into Inventory System
o Investigate and resolve any discrepancies found
· Monthly scanning of vehicles set on the yard and in the processing area with a handheld scanner
o Generating inventory reports
o Reconcile the results and report findings to Operations Manager
· Overall awareness of incoming inventory and accountability
Responsibilities & Accountabilities – Vehicle Titles
· Review all incoming titles for vehicles purchased
o Review for correctness
o Completion of sale by entering Company information
· Review of any other vehicle paperwork for completeness and accuracy
o Auction sales receipts
o Licensed Vehicle Storage Facility (VSF) documents
· Interact with tow companies on continuous improvement activities related to title and bill of sale paperwork
· Filing of title/ownership documents in accordance with Company policy and procedure
· Preparing purchased vehicle paperwork for submission to the Company title clerk to facilitate proper title surrender
· Organized and prepared to submit documents on a weekly basis
Responsibilities & Accountabilities – Tow Drivers
· Review of all scheduled tickets for current and next day
· Assigning to drivers based on location, quantity, availability, and condition of vehicle
· Follow up with drivers on assignments not picked up on scheduled day
· Communicating to the call center any reschedules
· Input of all units delivered on the tow log and accurate entry of pricing information
Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work outdoors in all seasons
- General automotive knowledge/mechanical aptitude preferred
- Basic computer competence, with the ability to use handheld inventory devices
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Driver's license preferred
- Bilingual skill a plus
- Previous inventory experience preferred

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
