We offer outpatient mental health services in three counties within in-office, telehealth and school settings to children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced trauma.

Examples of Tasks Performed and Work Assigned:
- Conducts clinical assessment to aid in mental health diagnosis and to assist in development of treatment recommendations relative to trauma exposure.
- Develops treatment plans based on assessment results and consumer input.
- Provides trauma focused individual, family, and group therapeutic interventions specific to clients/families as dictated by the treatment plan.
- Provides court reports and court testimony as assigned.
- Maintains collateral relationship with other agencies and attends meetings with other funding sources as assigned by director.
- Maintains case records and documentation per the business policy and does so in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates coordination skills in working with families, staff and other personnel of the business.
- Advocates for client and/or stimulates client to act on his/her own.
- Establishes a professional relationship with the client.
- Acts in accordance with the APA standards.
- Understands community organizations and their purposes.
- Demonstrates appropriate assertiveness skills.
- Participates in individual, group, peer and overall agency supervisory and staff development activities.
- Interacts with primary, external and internal customers of the business in such a manner that the customer experiences increasing quality.

Professional Staff will:
- Provide direct therapeutic services to assigned caseload, coordinate case efforts with funding source and related agencies.
- Be able to effectively manage self in crisis situations (violence, physical aggression, etc.)
- Be able to assess consumer needs based on the use of trauma specific and, if applicable, sexual abuse victimization and offender assessment tools and structured interviews.
- Be able to utilize the assessment results to develop an effective treatment plan in collaboration with the consumer and/or consumer family.
- Be willing to learn and implement trauma treatment models, sexual abuse victimization treatment protocols and sexual offender treatment protocols, if applicable, that are utilized at Parkside.
- Perform functions of the job include being available to offer evening appointments two evenings per week if full time and at least one evening per week if part time and being able to travel to meetings, court hearings and school sites as applicable.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
- Exhibit consistently the ability to respond to various differences among the business’s clientele, including economic, ethnic, religious and disabilities. Employee should be sensitive to any and all differences.
- Possess the ability to assess and respond to verbal and nonverbal cues while conducting interviews and clinical assessments.
Required Education/ Experience:
- Master’s degree and license in human services related field, such as clinical psychology, social work, or counseling or greater.
- Licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage Family Therapist, Licensed Social Worker

- This position is an ideal split of 3 days in-office and 2 days in a school as a trauma clinician (specialty).
