Position Overview:
The OCM will be responsible for monitoring and assessing compliance across all functions. This role requires a deep understanding of back-office processes, Human Resources & payroll regulations, DBE regulations, and Certified Payroll. The ideal candidate will be responsible for automating and documenting current business processes, keeping up to date with current rules and regulations, and prioritizing the multiple needs of the business based on revenue generation and associated expenses. It is essential that this candidate communicates clearly and establishes standards to avoid non-compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
· Contract/Policy facilitation
o Review and suggest changes to all Purchase Orders, Statements of Work, Standard Operating Procedures, Master Agreements and legal documents coming into the business for maximum understanding of work-scopes
o Create, edit, and send out Purchase Orders and SOWs on the company’s behalf to various vendors
o Manage/maintain insurance policies for the company and forge new relationships in this area as needed
· Human Resources
o Oversee all HR processes related to Onboarding & Offboarding Employees
o Ensure HR files are kept up to date and in compliance with all regulations. Potentially update and implement a new HR platform to manage the files.
o Manage the Performance Review process along with Quarterly KPI discussions
o Manage the payroll process for Full Time Employees as well as the weekly payroll process for all DBE drivers.
· Project Management/Continuous Improvement:
o Lead and coordinate internal audits of processes
o Analyze data to identify potential compliance gaps or areas for improvement
o Strong process understanding and knowledge of best practices in industries
o Review and update benefits for employees regularly
· Legal/Regulations:
o Stay up to date with all regulations and compliance requirements in a variety of states as it pertains to transportation, Human Resources and best practices with contract agreements.
o Communicate with company leaders and legal counsel about contract facilitation
· Certified Payroll
o Keep up to date with prevailing wage law and inform the business of changes
o Oversee the CPR process and ensure it is done accurately and timely
o Identify areas to improve the manual nature of these processes
· Supervision and Management:
o Supervise and manage the team to guide compliance with all regulations and maintain good standing with customers and regulators.
· Strategy and Branding:
o Strategize and implement new ideas to incentivize haulers/contractors to complete documentation and stay in compliance
o Strategize and implement new ideas to automate current business processes

Education and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree
· Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in a business environment.
· Ability to work remotely and use collaborative tools within the organization
· Strong project management, continuous improvement, and root cause analysis skills.
· Experience with Human resources & payroll processes.
· Background in developing and leading a team.
· Understanding of compliance and regulatory issues.
· Familiarity with Certified Payroll preferred.
Compensation:
$85,000 - $100,000 plus bonus compensation based on experience level, skillset, and previous project accomplishments. This is a full-time position with travel required as necessary.
