- Take an active role in all financial aspects of the Company.
- Assisting with the coordination and oversight of areas which impact direct and indirect financial functions of the Company.
- Ensures financial data is entered properly and accurately on a regular basis.
- Independently records day-to-day financial transactions of the Company and completes necessary financial postings.
- Maintains an accurate record of all financial transactions of the Company by posting and verifying financial data.
- Continuously reviews and reports financial data, as necessary, and advises senior leadership as required.
- Sets appropriate standards for staff, according to organizational culture of great work ethic, persistence, listening skills, oral/written communication skills, integrity, honesty and follow-through of goals and objectives.
- Ensures efficiency of execution of organizational mission, vision, values and strategies.
- Maintains close coordination with all applicable departments to ensure continuity, efficiency and coordination of services.
- Update and maintain the general ledger, inclusive of entering appropriate debits and credits.
- Continual account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of financial transactions.
- Perform regular checks of the posting process.
- Prepare trial balances for accountants.
- Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing accounting information.
- Responsible for oversight of operations in compliance with hospice regulations, CHAP Standards of Practice and all Federal and/or State guidelines.
- Use knowledge of Federal, State and local laws to comply with applicable reporting requirements.
- Monitor any variances from the projected budget
- Assisting in financial activities such as running payroll
- Assist with ensuring compliance with Federal, State and Local laws, statutes and regulations, in relation to financial matters.
- Responsible for monthly income reconciliations, inclusive of ensuring all hospice bank statement income matches billing system income.
- Responsible for consistent and regular review of Accounts Payable directed to Hospice.
- Responsible for recurring requirements, including but not limited to Cost Reporting and CAP Reporting.
