The Westchester County Department of Public Works and Transportation is seeking Contract Administrators to oversee county-wide Service Agreement Contracts and Construction Contracts for various types of County projects
Under general supervision, the incumbent will oversee the contract bidding process which includes writing bid specifications, reviewing bid documents, advertising, maintaining bid schedules, reviewing funding and maintaining standard contract documents
The incumbent may also oversee bidding and management of service contractors such as maintenance of HVAC and fire protection systems. Work includes writing bid specifications, advertising, responding to service issues, reviewing invoices, and coordinating needs and services with County departments.
MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: A successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree plus four years of experience coordinating bids for services which included the following trades: carpentry, electrical, heating and ventilation, masonry and plumbing. A Mechanical Engineering degree and HVAC experience is a plus.
*SPECIAL NOTE: Education beyond the secondary level must be from an institution recognized or accredited by the Board of Regents of the New York Stated Department of Education as a post-secondary, degree-granting institution.
This is a Civil Service position that will require the successful candidate to be appointed from a list of eligible candidates, following examination.
