YOU WILL
- Oversee and streamline authorization processes
- Plan and implement quality assurance for all processes
- Special programs/authorization planning and implementation
- Personnel development; staff meetings
- Staffing discussions and planning/interviews; Team building
- Problem escalation and customer service
- Proven ability to perform strategic planning and priority setting for the authorization department
- Proven track record for improving process efficiencies and solving problems
- Strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate team members
- Detail oriented
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and internal personal skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Maintain a system for monitoring productivity and performance of the Department and, Personnel, reporting results to Administration.
- Assist the Supervisor in meeting all departmental targeted timelines, and goals
YOU HAVE
Requirements + Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, BC/BS, Workers Compensation, Managed Care, and Commercial insurance carriers billing and authorization regulations.
- Able to interpret and apply correct ICD-10, CDT and CPT coding regulations.
- Strong organization, problem-solving and error detection skills.
- Ability to review and interpret error lists and reports; identify incorrect data and have the skills to make the appropriate corrections
- High school degree or equivalent education and training.
- 5 plus years of experience in healthcare billing department, preferably authorizations.
- Knowledge of patient registration, insurance verification, pre-certification, authorizations, charge entry, billing, and medical policies.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.61 - $21.26 per hour
